Single women or all female couples can attain pregnancy either by doing artificial insemination with donor sperm or in vitro fertilization. Female couples can use the ROPA method. This consists in obtaining oocytes from one woman, fertilizing them in the lab (IVF) and then transferring the resulting embryo to the other woman.
All male couples can use their sperm to fertilize a donated oocyte and transfer the embryo to a woman (surrogate) to carry the pregnancy to term.
